Missouri opening up their market for Rhuby beginning of July. Of course the tour camper comes by in July 2014 after a stint at Tales of the Cocktail to display RHUBY and talk to all great bartenders around. All-female bartenders please sign up to PYD 2014 for the chance to get to the final in NY in October. Sue McCollum runs the shop in Missouri and is one of the few females in the distribution game – doing a great job – in our opinion.
Dead Rabbit - Pink Your Drink competition venue 2014
Rhuby is blessed for all the support that comes from all places. A great venue for the Pink Your Drink cocktail competition in New York has been a signed up and we are thrilled to announce that – Dead Rabbit will be hosting the New York competition in October.
Dead Rabbit is one of the best bars – if not THE best bar in the world. They have won multible awards during the years and Rhuby could not have been more happy with them hosting the event.

Tales of the Cocktail 2014
Tales of the Cocktail is the largest cocktail happening during the year, founded by Ann Tuennerman and takes place every year in New Orleans, USA. Bartenders from all over the world travels there for this event and spirit producers joins to connect and show their products.
In 2014 Rhuby will officially take part of this event and present the product at the Craft Distiller seminar. This will be the launch of the Pink Your Drink tour in the US. The Rhuby Emissary based in New York, Elsa Holmberg will show her skills and the endless possibilities of cocktail mixing with the Swedish handcrafted rhubarb liqueur.

Bartender extraordinare, Elsa Holmberg has been out and about in the New York cocktail scene for a month. Meeting up with one of the best female bartenders in the world – Ivy Mix at her working spot Clover Club.
Of course Elsa will be working the Pink Your Drink tour that takes place in US this summer, but one thing you might not already know is that Ivy Mix will take part of the judging panel at the cocktail competition in New York next October.
Ivy Mix together with Lynnette Marrero partook as judges in the first ever Pink Your Drink cocktail competition in 2012 at London Cocktail Club. The two of them are founders of the wonderful Speed Rack – Lynnette will have a different role in the Pink Your Drink tour and Rhuby is more than thankful for the support they are giving.
Pink Your Drink US - Elsa Holmberg
Pink Your Drink started in 2012 with the first ever female only bartending competition in the UK. The competition was held during the London Cocktail Week at the London Cocktail Club owned by Raymond Blanc. The competition attracted female bartenders across the country and 8 finalists were selected to compete in the final.
One of them, Elsa Holmberg, a native Swede working in the bar scene in the UK. Elsa was placed in second place and only lost by a few points. Over the years Rhuby kept in touch because her professionalism and personality is highly appreciated. During the Stockholm competition in 2013, Elsa partook in the panel to judge the cocktails made by the Swedish bartender finalists.
In October 2014, the competition will take place in NYC, US. Rhuby needs to expand the presence in New York City and Elsa takes part of the team supporting the company with Pink Your Drink from March 2014 based in New York. She is currently studying the American cocktail culture and history at University in Nottingham and during the months she will write her thesis while living in NYC.
Pink Your Drink 2013 - Courtyard by Marriott - Sinnen & Smak
Pink Your Drink 2013 was held the 17th of October at Björk Bar, Courtyard by Marriott in Stockholm. Last year the competition was held during the London Cocktail week in collaboration with Raymond Blanc and his venue The London Cocktail Club, Shaftesbury Avenue.
8 finalists from across Sweden were selected by an international panel of bartenders and competed for the title as ‘Miss Rhuby 2013’.

The girls competed in front of an esteemed panel of judges which included two of the most recognized distillers in the Swedish Spirits industry – Solveig Sommarström (V&S) and Angela D’Orazio (Mackmyra). In addition the panel held 2 key chief editors and 2 finalists from previous competition held in London – Elsa Holmberg and Jolene Cadwell.

After a close competition the selected winner – Sofie Larsson – Stockholm. Sofie was celebrated winner at centre stage at the event Sinnen & Smak in front of 350 guests. The event was packed with Swedish celebrity chefs, Master of wines as the founder of Rhuby is keen to add the cocktail scene into this crowd, recognising the skilful art of cocktail making.
The various cocktails made by Sofie showed good bar skills and a personal touch. Her cocktail ‘Miss Regina’ is dedicated to her close friend and Swedish actress Regina Lund who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Mix peeled Rhubarbs, Rhuby, Absolut Kurant and sugar in blender.
Serve in whiskey glass with crushed ice and
top up with Russian tonic. (Swedish pink grapefruit tonic – could be exchanged with the Fevertree Elderflower for a great taste)
The winner was later celebrated at the nightclub Solidaritet in Stockholm – Stureplan. Solidaritet participated with ‘pinked menus’ throughout the weekend charging a premium for each ‘Pinked Drink’ where the income was donated to the Pink Ribbon.
