Use your artistic side and make that evening at home or catering for many people that little extra special. The wonderful natural pink colour of the Rhuby liquid and the ethereal design of the bottle already creates a moment of celebration and indulgence. Here are some of the options, keeping it simple without having to stock up with many ingredients and glassware, allowing Rhuby to take centre stage.
RHUBY MARTINI
Shake over ice to get the liquid very cool and pour into Martini glass (having been in freezer of pre-chilled with ice). Enjoy simply as is or add a stem of Rhubarb or other decorative fruit for a real treat. Some people want more of a bite to their Martini. Simply add required measure of Vodka to your drink for a sharper flavour. Personally I prefer 1/3 Vodka and 2/3 Rhuby for an afternoon reception or pool party, while equal measures prior to going out. Vodka is the preferred choice, while with a milder Gin such as Oxley it adds a third dimension. Garnish as festively as you feel.
RHUBY SPARKLER
A moment of celebration is often seen with Champagne, Prosecco, Moscato or anything bubbly. Rhuby makes this moment even more festive by adding a softness to the drink and a light hue of gorgeous pink colour. Some like to garnish with frozen strawberries or raspberries, making a further splash of colour and chilling the drink without diluting it. Fresh with a different sweeter palette.
RHUBY SPLASH
As the flavour of Rhuby is one dimensional RHUBARB – it is delightful to enjoy with only a little splash of soda for a summer refresher. The colour is wonderful and the nose fresh. Garnish subtly but creatively for a festive touch. Perfect for that all day long pool party.
RHUBY LEMONADE
Add 1/2 of glass with Rhuby and add a splash of freshly squeezed lemonade (soda if preferred less sweet) with a further dash of cranberry over plenty of ice. A refreshing summer drink for quenching thirst. Add into chosen glassware with a suggestion of mint to top it off. Dangerously easy to drink and making a pitcher for the garden.
RHUBY CRUSH
Muddle strawberries into a glass and add plenty of crushed ice. Top up with Rhuby and a minute splash of soda to get the bubbles (Champagne if preferred) and garnish with a cut strawberry on the rim of glass.
The Rhuby Pitcher
For a larger crowd, pour a bottle of Prosecco (Champagne, Sparkling wine, Moscato) into a pitcher. Add 35cl of Rhuby and place frozen strawberries to maintain the chill and add some colour. If you desire for further refreshment place a few fresh mint leaves on the top just prior to serving.
Rhuby & Tonic
What could be simpler. For an added strength place one part of a smooth gin (like Oxley or Bombay Sapphire) to 3/4 of Rhuby not to overpower the subtle flavour of Rhubarb. It does give a fantastic subtle pink hue to the drink. Garnish as desired.
